ROSA OLVERA`S CASE IS RE-OPENED

The protagonist of the documentary "My life Inside", Rosa Estela Olvera Jimenez, will have her case re-opened thanks to the support of the government of the State of Mexico. They are working with the Rotary United Fund of Mexico (FURMEX A.C.) in a fundraising effort to give support to Rosa and her family. You can donate to Rosa's cause through FURMEX. Also, there will be a special film screening of "Mi Life Inside" on August 26th in Cinépolis Diana at 7:00pm to raise additional funds for Rosa's case.

WINNERS OF THE GUCCI-AMBULANTE 2010 GRANT

Congratulations to the winners of the Gucci-Ambulante 2010 Grant: Tatiana Huezo for "El lugar más pequeño", Everardo González for "El cielo abierto" and Bulmaro Osornio for "Mosca". This year the jury was integrated by Jorge Sánchez, Fernanda Solórzano, Elena Fortes, Carlos Hagerman, Rachel Decker and Susan Chockachi.

TRAVESÍA: FILM PROGRAM ABOUT MIGRATION

Travesia, a film program about migration, will begin on July 2nd. in different places of Chiapas. This program puts together a series of documentaries that deal with migration issues, with the purpose of raising awareness among the audience. The films Which way home?, Migrar o morir, Wash cycle, De nadie, Those who remain, Farmingville, The ballad of Esequiel Hernandez, En otra tierra, My life inside, Al otro lado and Rehje, will be screened as part of this program. Do join us on Friday, July 23rd at 7:30 pm for the second screening of this program. This day Regina Melo will present "Wash cycle" at FOMMA (San Cristobal de las Casas; as well as on Saturday, July 24th. at 7:00 pm at the Church's Atrium in Acala, where a second screening of this film, as well as "Migrar o morir" will take place.
