Gucci-Ambulante Grant
In March 2007, Gucci and Ambulante created the Gucci Ambulante Grant in order to support the postproduction of Mexican documentaries.
The grant was open to long feature Mexican documentaries that had finished the production stage and required funding for completion. Grants amounted to a maximum of 400, 000 MXN ( $36,677 USD)
The call for entries was made public at a press conference on April 16th, 2007, and was subsequently published electronically and in major newspapers.
Entry deadline was set for July 17th, 2007. The following 39 projects were submitted:

The following selected projects were announced September 19th, 2007:
- Trazando Aleida by Christiane Burkhard ($230,000 MXN, $21,089.50 USD)
- El Externante, by Roberto Hernández ($400,000 MXN, $36, 677.00 USD)
- El General, by Natalia Almada ($130,000 MXN, $11, 920.00 USD)
These documentaries will have a special screening at the end of Ambulante 2008 in April.
The Gucci Ambulante Grant is currently preparing its next call for entries.
